Josie Skye was one of the most accurate meteorologists in the country – but not everyone considered that a good thing. When weather forecasters and others start disappearing or dying and Josie fears she's one of the targets, she teams up with weather researcher, Oliver Burns, to try to find some of their missing colleagues and figure out what's going on. And what's with all these butterflies? The Weatherman is a science fiction adventure, featuring Josie Skye, a middle-age meteorologist.

Intentional or not, this turns out to be a cautionary tale about how easily public opinion can be manipulated. There is intrigue, suspense, danger, and maybe a little bit of fear at how this could become a real thing. The characters are interesting and believable, as is the plot line and concept behind the tale. Weird as it sounds to say this, readers are taken on a fast and furious ride through the world of weather forecasting. Compelling enough that I read this in one sitting.
There needs to be a sequel. Soon.

ps: Not every story has to have raging hormones, ravening beasts, or overly heroic heroes. For certain Hollywood types who might be looking for something a little different, this could be it.

The Weatherman Laurie Axinn Gienapp Books Reviews
This book was great. This was an exciting read for me! I loved it! The characters were likable and it has a very unique story line. I loved the surprise at the end!. *I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
This is an incredible ride! The speed at which government entities - or not even that, private ones -- can dictate what goes on the air is scary as . . . you fill it it. I stayed up all night reading it . . . and took a day after finishing to digest what I've read. This was, truly, a nail biter -- and you will not be let down.
Pretty much throughout the book you will think you know what is happening. I won't go any further. Except to say this is a thriller indeed. This is a highly recommended book if you love thrillers.
I received a free copy of this edition for my unbiased review. I will add no only is my review unbiased, I wasn't sure what I was going to get when I read this book. It turned out way behind my dreams!
This is a definite must read!!
From picking the book up to finishing it the story kept hold of me. There is mystery, death, secrets being kept, subterfuge and so much more in these pages. The story often seems straight forward until you turn the page and another spanner is thrown into the proverbial works. This story surrounding something as basic yet complex as weather will keep you turning the pages for more.
The story line is easy to follow, exciting to plunge into with enough credibility to make it readable. The characters are all well defined in their roles and very well thought out. The interactions between them all is excellent and flows well within the story. The author has obviously researched the subject in depth and it gives us an excellent easy read.

I was intrigued with this novel and concept of weather control. The book kept my attention throughout. A good read!
Great paced story line. Unique perspective on the topic. Left me wanting part two...... This book is science, mystery, and the lure of public opinions thrown in for good measure.
Intriguing story line combined with believable characters kept my attention throughout the entire book. And when I got to the end, I was extremely disappointed that it was over! Am looking forward to the sequel....there HAS to be one!
Truly an enjoyable read. The pacing of the book makes it a quick read - it's one of those you look forward to coming back to (I tend to read on my lunch hour). The characters are relatable you feel like you know them as the story progresses. Plus, the premise is unique and makes you think!
